Toyota Hiace Commuter — Combi Chauffeur Singapore

One vehicle instead of three. Seats 13 with 8 large bags, from S$75.

Capacity

Thirteen seats and eight large bags. Unlike the MPV, this one genuinely carries a full group and their luggage at the same time — which is usually why people choose it over splitting across two cars.

The Toyota Hiace Commuter is what we send when a group is too large for one MPV and splitting into two cars would be worse than taking one van. Thirteen seats, eight large bags, and everyone arrives together rather than in shifts.

When the Combi beats two MPVs

Two Luxury MPVs cost more than one Combi and create a coordination problem: two chauffeurs, two arrival times, and a group standing in arrivals waiting for the other half. For anything above six people the Combi is usually both cheaper and less trouble.

The exception is comfort over distance. The Alphard cabin is more comfortable than a Hiace, so a small group on a long day of meetings may still prefer two MPVs. For airport runs and shuttles, the Combi wins.

Luggage

Eight large bags is a real figure rather than an optimistic one, and unlike the MPV you can genuinely carry a full passenger load and full luggage together. Sports equipment, instruments and oversized boxes are usually fine — tell us what you are carrying when you book and we will say plainly whether it fits.

What it costs

Airport transfers start at S$75, flat. Corporate shuttles and event convoys are usually booked hourly; if you need several vehicles on the same day, contact us rather than booking each one online so we can keep them coordinated and priced together.

Groups arriving at Changi

For group arrivals the chauffeur meets you inside the terminal with a name board, and the 60-minute complimentary wait from touchdown matters more with a large group — thirteen people clear immigration a good deal slower than two. See airport transfer details.

Frequently asked questions

How many people fit in a 13-seater van in Singapore?

Thirteen passengers plus the driver, with room for eight large bags at the same time. It is the vehicle to book when a group would otherwise have to split across two cars.

Is a 13-seater cheaper than two MPVs?

Usually, yes. One Combi from S$75 costs less than two Luxury MPVs from S$65 each, and it keeps the group together with one arrival time instead of two.

Does the Combi have Wi-Fi?

No. Wi-Fi on request is available in the Luxury MPV and First Class vehicles, not the Combi.

Can it take sports equipment or oversized luggage?

Usually. Tell us what you are carrying when you book — golf bags, instruments and boxes are generally fine, and we would rather confirm in advance than have it not fit at the kerb.
